Créé dans les années 1970, le musée de la Grande Loge de France conserve une remarquable collection dédiée à l’histoire de la franc-maçonnerie, du XVIIIe siècle à nos jours. Près de 3.000 pièces — objets rituels, tabliers brodés, épées, porcelaines rares, registres, bijoux symboliques — retracent les rites, grades et symboles d’une tradition pluriséculaire. Ce patrimoine est progressivement enrichi grâce à des dons de particuliers, de familles de membres de la franc-maçonnerie, d’artistes, ainsi qu'à une politique d’acquisition dynamique. En 1992, la création du pôle culturel MAB (Musée, Archives, Bibliothèque de la Grande Loge de France) renforce l’ancrage scientifique du musée. Initialement préservé dans la sphère privée, l’intérêt culturel et l’originalité de ces fonds ont conduit à son ouverture au grand public. En 2025 il reçoit l’appellation « Musée de France », il s’inscrit désormais dans le réseau national de valorisation du patrimoine
